{Remington Owen} Orem, UT Newborn Photographer

I've always been hesitant to do newborn photography. I'm not a fan of baskets, balls and giant flowers. So, I didn't think I would make a good fit for a newborn photographer.

A month ago, I was convinced to give it a shot. I was quite hesitant, because there is only a certain amount of time to photograph someones newborn. And if it doesn't go well, then, well... you've missed out on an opportunity that only comes around one time.

Talk about pressure.

I tried to prep myself as much as possible before the shoot so I could get some  pictures of this beautiful new baby that would be cherished forever. I wont claim to be a newborn photographer yet, nor will I ever. I found for me a way to photograph a newborn with my own style that is more simple and natural. Not perfect, but little Remington was. So, they make perfect pictures.

Here is my first attempt at newborn photography.

{Josh, Delroy & LeRoy} Utah Portrait Photographer

The day we shot these was quite possibly the coldest day I have ever experienced. Including my days in Canada. It. Was. Fridgid. But, when someone like Josh asks you to take pictures of him and his 'two boys', you don't just pass that opportunity up. Especially when there are two trucks and only one Josh to drive them. Consequently, I had to drive one out to the lake where we took these pictures.

It may have been the best afternoon of my life. Driving LeRoy (the red one). I like driving big trucks, and getting mud on their tires. Good thing Josh brought a towel to tidy them up. Oops...

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present: Josh, Delroy & LeRoy.

I usually am not much of a photoshop/crazy colors/fake looking kind of gal, but today it needed to happen. For Josh.

{Snow Canyon State Park} Southern Utah Photographer

Have I ever mentioned how I am from one of the most beautiful places on earth?

Well, in case I haven't mentioned that before, I am.

Southern Utah rocks my socks off.

Here's why:

Note the biker above: wearing regular biking clothes. Not winterized biking clothes. WARM!

Consider my socks rocked. Because I love the red rock.
I'm rapping right now. If you couldn't tell.

Currently it is 61ยบ and it's January 3. I may just go lay out by a pool.

Another cool thing about Southern Utah? No jacket was needed in January to shoot these. It's that awesome here!

{2011-2012 High School Senior Rep Program} Utah Senior Photographer

I’m looking for outgoing 2012 seniors (which means you’re currently a junior) to represent Sarah Rae Photography at your school. If you have a positive attitude and think you can work it in front of the camera, I want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to have your senior portraits done for FREE. I need guys and girls—looking for at least one from each local high school (Utah, Washington & Iron County high schools).
Here’s how the Rep Program works:
I’ll choose one or two 2012 high school seniors from each surrounding school to shoot a free Model Senior Session—a $250 value!  We’ll hit several different locations and you’ll change outfits several times for a variety of looks.
What’s in it for you?
A FREE Model Senior Session ($250 value)
                Free images for Facebook
100 rep cards with your photo to pass out to friends
                10% off your print order
$20 print credit for each referred senior who completes a session with your rep card
Refer 10 or more and I’ll throw in an added bonus!

What do you have to do?
Be a graduating senior of 2012
Be comfortable in front of the camera
Be outgoing and have a positive attitude
Have a fun sense of personal style
Agree to represent Sarah Rae Photography
Agree to pass out your rep cards to everyone you know and tell them they can save 10% off their 2010 senior portrait session if they book using your rep card
Return a signed model release by you and your parent/legal guardian

Click here to complete your application.
(It's not hard, promise!)

**Applications are due by April 12, 2011**

{Emalee & Cade} Zion National Park Wedding Photographer

Emalee & Cade were married back in September in Zion National Park. It was a very small, intimate ceremony that was just perfect for them. Emalee's uncle was able to officiate the ceremony which made it that more special for them. Here are some photos from their wedding.

Enjoy!
There were married just up these steps on a small platform hidden in the canyon.
