Jenson

Meet Jenson.
We're kind of related, but not really.
So when I say he's super cute, it's not out of obligation. It's 100% truth.

A few weeks ago, I got to hang out with Jenson for a little bit and I had the camera. Every time he saw the camera, immediately his "Blue Steel" look came. He's mastered that look and is now working on look number 2 for next time. But this little guy sure knew how to work the camera. Here are some of my favorites!

Kelci, what do you say we do a real shoot with the little guy?

Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree

Today was a great day.

One of the reasons was because it started off so great!

My friend Aubrey is a new member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Devin, my little cousin LOVES the MoTab. LOVES. So, I had asked Aubrey if her and a few of her friends would one day come meet us at Primary Children's Hospital to sing to him. Because that would be so cool for him. Well, today was the day!

Devin was in "ah" that they were in HIS room, to sing to HIM.

He loved it.

Here's a video, not the greatest sound or quality, but you can see the look on his face and hear the music. Devin joined in on this song and sang with them and loved it.

Devin was in "ah" that they were in HIS room, to sing to

Thanks Aubrey and your friends for coming and giving Devin a fun and uplifting experience!

Lesson Learned: Closets Are Off Limits

Today I experienced a feeling I imagine a mother feels when she can't find her child in Wal-Mart.

I couldn't find my camera ALL DAY!

Yes, ALL DAY!

Yes, my Nikon camera.
My baby.
My Pride and Joy.
What I show off to people to make me feel cool.
The thing that lets me be creative.

Nakita is what I like to call her.

Nakita, in all her glory

I thought she was in one place, and she wasn't there. So then I thought I left her at my aunts. She wasn't there either. Then I thought maybe she was still in my car. Nakita wasn't there. I thought for sure she had be taken from me. Right out of my very own car, Andre. I was disappointed that he hadn't protected Nakita properly. I was almost angry with Andre. ANGRY with Andre... poor guy. He's so little... he wouldn't have been able to handle it.

Then...
I was getting dressed for an evening out on the town, which I thought would be without Nakita.
And I looked down, in my closet, and there she was! IN MY FREAKIN CLOSET! Why there? It is one thing I will never know, but I am so grateful to have my baby Nakita back. I felt sick, like my world was over, but it's now not over. It's even better now.

Lesson Learned: Don't put Nakita in closet. Ever. It's not worth the worries, pain and sickness felt during the "almost death".
