{Emalee & Cade} Zion National Park Wedding Photographer

Emalee & Cade were married back in September in Zion National Park. It was a very small, intimate ceremony that was just perfect for them. Emalee's uncle was able to officiate the ceremony which made it that more special for them. Here are some photos from their wedding.

Enjoy!
There were married just up these steps on a small platform hidden in the canyon.

Illuminations

I have a secret to share.

I have a crush...

I've had it for a while now, but for some weird reason it's just not going anywhere.

Today I got a surprise. Well, a surprise from myself.

Photobucket

Yep, Josh Groban. I grew up with my parents listening to music like this, so I just LOVE it all. If the man I marry can sing anything at all like this, I'll be just fine. Or look like him... Well, it might as well just be him. It's easier that way.

The end.

What I'm Lovin

I'm going to try and do this new thing once a month. I just think it looks like a fun thing to do. So here it goes!

Photobucket

1. Sara Barielles: I think that something weird happened in the heavens, because I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be her in this life. She is SO great. Her music (especially this CD) is FANTASTIC! I bought it a couple months ago and haven't taken it out of my car (except to upload it onto my computer) and I keep listening to it all the time. At work, in my car, at home, on the go... just ALL THE TIME! If you haven't heard it yet, then listen! My favorite song is #9, Let The Rain!
2. Eat Pray Love: Okay, so I've been reading this book for a very long time. Several months to be exact. But I really do enjoy it! I think maybe the reason it is taking me so long to read is because I want to do what she is doing in the book! Just traveling/living in different countires for 4 months at a time. How cool is she?
3. Crock-Pots: Wow. I love them. SOO much! My favorite recipe for the crock-pot is a Jalapeno Roast. You should make it sometime. It's probably one of the best things I've ever smelt, looked at, eaten, felt and touched EVER! Seriously. I can't find the recipe right now, but I'll post it later so you too can enjoy it!
4. ZUMBA: Okay, Zumba is SO fun! And gosh, it is a workout! I never sweat ever, but in that class I SWEAT! (TMI? Who cares..) The majority of the people in the class I go to are white, and don't have the latin dance gift, so it's even more enjoyable. Not only is it a workout, but it's a great source of entertainment! You should go!
5. Scarves: I just LOVE them! I want to wear one everyday, but that might be over-doing it a bit. They are just so fun and such an easy way to add color and fun to an outfit!

Back Burner...

I am SUCH a terrible blogger lately. I've been so busy, then so sick, then so busy catching up from being sick that blogging has been put on the back burner.

Well...

For those of you who didn't know where my cool wedding was, I was in...

Florida!

Stay tuned for those images. I promise I'll be better at blogging :)

oh thank heaven!

I'm usually not a big fan of hot chocolate because it's too hot and rich. BUT I have now discovered 711 Hot Chocolate and WOW! It's actually GOOD!!! Why is it so good? Well, I add in those creamers and BAM it's good!

Here's what I do:

2 half & half's
2 Hazelnut (yummmm!)
1/3 of the cup is steamed milk
2/3 of the cup is the actual hot chocolate

Put it all together and KAZAM you have the BEST hot chocolate ever!

"Oh Thank Heaven" is right!!!

The End.

I dislike you, Change!

You know, people say change is a good thing. Is it really though? Okay, it probably is, but why do things that aren't in your control that effect you on a daily basis have to change for the worse?

This is a question that I've been pondering for the past... well a lot of months. I now am scared that I missed my window of opportunity because I have been dwelling on the fact that things changed to how I would rather them not be. I liked it better before. Really.

Well, now that things are different, and I've been mad about it for so long, what do I do?

Mary Engelbreit said it pretty well I think:

"If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it."

So, I guess I should change the way I think about things?

I think I'll start working on that. It's hard sometimes when you've been smashed pretty hard to the bottom. You know, kinda like this. Came in not welcomed and messed things up.

Well, wish me luck!

I Got the Boot

I am now on my way to Florida. I made it safely on my first flight from SLC to Phoenix. There were some bumpy bumps that happened, but my heart is still beating and I’m still breathing.

This funny thing happened when I arrived in Phoenix. My flight from Orlando to Phoenix was to leave an hour after I arrived. Turns out, for some reason they had to change the plane they were using for this flight. Why does this matter? Oh, well it was a small plane. 40 seats smaller.

I was one of the 40 that got bumped. I think they bumped the 40 seats that no longer existed on the new smaller plane out and created a huge mess that has been so much fun. Really.

Well, while I was in line to get my flight stuff figured out, the lady at the door called my name to board that plane!!! I was relieved. Well… when I got up there she told me that was a mistake. So I got to get in the back of the, oh so long line… full of grouchy people with filth for mouths.

People are real fun when it comes to airports and stuff. I couldn’t believe the way some passengers were talking to the airline staff. Swear words were coming out from every direction possible… and I’m just not used to that, being from Provo and all, so it was kind of… weird. And lets face it… wouldn’t we rather be in the situation we are in that be on a plane that is going to break 50 miles in the air? I think yes. Other people didn’t think so apparently.

The lady behind the counter handled herself very well, I might add. If it was me behind that counter having everyone yelling at me and blaming ME for the change of plans, I would’ve curled up into a ball and started singing hymns, and probably shedding tears of sacredness.

So, about an hour later, it was my turn to talk to the lady giving everyone new flight info. I was lucky because I was traveling alone. I was able to get a spot on the Red Eye to Charlotte, NC. So I will be hanging out in the Phoenix airport for a total of 13 hours today. Then taking the Red Eye to NC, then another flight to FL in the early AM to arrive by 9:30 AM

That’s not all though… It’s early afternoon here still, and in the few hours that I’ve been here, I’ve seen a similar situation happen to 2 other flights. 2 OTHER FLIGHTS! I am sensing a problem with this airline. (not to mention them not giving me a treat while on their flight… only a drink)

This is the nice line that formed after the 3rd mix up for the day. They are all really happy if you can't tell.

Well, they did do a nice thing for the 40 of us who got the boot. We all got $525 flight vouchers! YAY!!! As much as I would like to never even think about this airline again, I think I can one more time. It is free you know J

Oh, and they gave me 2 meal vouchers. Cinnabon was free for me today. So, it’s been a GOOD day… and a very tiring/miserable/frustrating day.

By tomorrow morning, I would have been from SLC, to Phoenix, to Charlotte, to Orlando. 4 Airports, 3 airplanes. I only prepared myself for 2 airplanes... hopefully it goes well with a 3rd being sprung on me like this!

Did I mention that it's FREEZING in this airport? I didn't pack a jacket because, well I just didn't. I might have to buy a little sweatshirt from one of these gift shops here to help me remember this day.

Help me... I'm leaving on a jet plane

Last night at dinner, my brother asked me whose arms I was going to grab. I wasn't nevous until he said this...

Yes... this is usually me on an airplane.

I'm going ... in an airplane tomorrow. You know, those giant things that miraculously fly in the air?
Yeah... BAH!
It doesn't help that I've been watching this lately...

Did I mention that I'll be ALONE? That's a lot of alone time in a giant flying machine.
However... if I make it safely to my destination, there will be a lot of this happening:

And a whole lot of this...

Lets just hope there are a lot of these on the airplane. Probably in the seats next to me.

Cause lets face it... They each have experience... with crash landings and stuff.

Do You Offer Any Discounts?

This movie is SO perfect of how I feel sometimes. Why is it that Photographers are not appreciated fully for the amound of work they do? Well, I still love what I do even if people try and take advantage of me... a lot. Here is a really really funny video... You should watch it.

Warning: It's not edited... there are a few swears. Oops!

{Cary & Carla Wedding} Provo, Utah Wedding Photographer

Remember Cary & Carla from when we did their engagements (if you forgot, click here!) Well, they got married this August and it was such a great wedding! While I was driving up to the Mount Timpanogos Temple, it was raining harder than I had ever seen in my entire life. I was so worried that none of their pictures would turn out and it was just got to be awful. Well, believe it or not, just minutes before they walked out of the Temple, it stopped raining. Not only did it stop raining, but it turned into one of the most beautiful days!

Their reception was held up Provo Canyon at Timpanogos Park. It was such an awesome reception. They had no line (yes!), had backyard games (boccie ball, croquet etc.), great food and the couple just went around and mingled with everyone.

Some people have requested that I share more photos from each session. So, starting this post, there are SO many photos for you to view! So that means more comments from you!
